Jennie (Newbold) Barnes, age 86 of Smithland, Kentucky passed away at 1:45 am on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center surrounded by her family.

Per her wishes, there will not be any services.

Jennie was of the Baptist faith.

Jennie is survived by her son, Jeff Newbold and wife Teressa; grandchildren, Michael Newbold and wife Renae, Richard Newbold, and Rachel Kline; great grandchildren, Kaylie, Ivan, Ripley, and Zeppelin.

Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Gertrude (Walls) Thorp; husbands, Richard Newbold and Mural Barnes; son, Ronnie Newbold; sister, Mildred Lee; brother, Hyland Thorp.

Memorials may be made in Jennie's name to the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center, 1530 Lone Oak Road, Paducah, Kentucky 42003.
