Mrs. Jean Hammond, age 79, of Temple Hill, IL, passed away on Monday morning, December 29, 2014, at the Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Hardison officiating. Burial will follow in Temple Hill Church Cemetery.Jean was a member of the Dixon Springs Baptist Church and the Metropolis Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling and gardening and was a devoted mother and wife.Jean is survived by her husband, Elmer L.
