Mrs. Janice Rose Konemann, 75, of Metropolis, born July 24, 1942 to Charles E. Lohranz and Beaulah Pearl Green, went home to our Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 10, 2018. She passed away in her home surrounded by her family that she loved and adored. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Weaver Creek Baptist Church in Metropolis where Janice was a member with Pastors and friends, Buford McGuire and Jake Irvin officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Those left to carry on Janice's memory include her husband of 58 years, Lowell "Preach" Konemann; their two daughters, Janica Konemann Martin and husband Leo of Metropolis and Tanna Shae Konemann Harris and husband Damon of Eugene, OR; two grandchildren, David A. Martin and wife Melanie of Ontario, Canada and Jayna D. Newman and husband J.D. of Lafayette, TN. She was also blessed with four great grandchildren, Abigail and Ezekiel Rideout of Lafayette, TN, and Ava and Myla Rose Martin of Ontario, Canada; one sister, Nancy Henson of Metropolis; a very special aunt, Katherine Burrus of Hamletsburg; and several cousins that she loved deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 13th, from 6 to 8pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lourdes Hospice, c/o Lourdes Foundation 1530 Lone Oak Road, Paducah, KY 42003.
