Jane Marie Williams, age 62 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 8:15 pm on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at her residence. She was the loving wife of Arnold Williams for an amazing 43 years.She was a member of Waldo Baptist Church and Frontier Homemakers.She was known as Ms. Williams to her MCHS and MES Students and Miss Jane to her early childhood and many Sunday School students. She retired from Massac Unit One after 22 years.She is survived by her husband, Arnold Williams; her daughters, Rachel Hannah and husband Robbie, Rebekah Stewart and husband Dan, and Amanda Williams; Even more dear to her heart, her 7 grandsons, William and Lukas Hannah, Zachary, Nolan, and Adam Stewart, Dylan and Coy Jaco. She is also survived by 5 sisters, 5 brothers, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, teaching, reading, watching her grandsons playing all their sports, preparing family dinners, and the annual game of EGG Baseball.She is preceded in death by her parents, Coy and Flora Sullivan and one sister.Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home. Rev. Jack Russell and Rev. Trad York will officiate.
