Jane McGinnis, 79, of Metropolis, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Lourdes Hospice Center of Paducah. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Forthman officiating. Burial will follow at the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. McGinnis is survived by three children, David McGinnis and wife Connie of Metropolis, Beth Meinders and husband Randy of Grantsburg, and Duane McGinnis and wife Mic also of Grantsburg. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Leslie Peternell and husband Ryan of Franklin Park, IL, and Rodney Daub of Metropolis. She is survived by one sister, Ruth Troup and husband Pat of Davenport, IA; brother-in-law, Bill Sommer of Metropolis; sister-in-law, Frieda Fuqua of Marion, OH; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her chosen family, Lynn and Barry Laird and Bruce, Brian, Jennifer, Conner, Bradley and Kate.She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. McGinnis; her parents, Luther and Lottie (Sanders) Fuqua; 5 sisters, Becky Sommer, Dorothy Reynolds, Evelyn Anderson, Frances Adkins, and Mary Heffington; and her brothers, C.L.Fuqua, Howard Fuqua, R.B. Fuqua, and Duell Fuqua. Visitation will be from 11:00A.M. until the funeral hour on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at New Hope Baptist Church in New Columbia, IL.Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Lourdes Hospice P.O.
