James Lee Morse, age 77 of Joppa, Illinois passed away at 7:54 pm on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jon Cockrel will officiate. James was a lifelong farmer. James is survived by his son, Jamie Morse and wife Melanie; daughter, Stephanie Denfip and husband Joey; grandchildren, Chase, De Shea, and Kensley Denfip; brother, Bob Morse; sister, Frances Ethridge; niece, Rhonda Trovillion; special friend, Theresa Blasdel. James was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Agnes Morse; brother, Frank Morse; sister, Wanda Duley. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis.
