James P. Johnston 69, of Metropolis passed away at 11:35A.M. Saturday January 4, 2014 at Crittenden Hospital in Marion, KY. Funeral services will be held at 11:00A.M. on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Aikins Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery # 10 in New Columbia. He is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Littlemeyer of Metropolis, Nancy Reed and husband Randy of Paducah, KY, as well as two brothers, John Johnston and wife Terri of Metropolis, and Robert Johnston and wife Shelly of Aiken, South Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents James P. Johnston Sr. and Margaret Lillian (Michelich) Johnston.Visitation will be from 6:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Aikins Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
