Mr. James "Jimmy" Berkley, age 77, of Metropolis, IL, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017. A celebration of life will be held at 6pm on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Boos Burgers and Billiards located at 318 Scott Street Metropolis, IL and also at 2pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Side Pocket Billiards located at 301 Murray Street Paducah, KY 42003. Jimmy was an avid pool player. He belonged to the American Pool Association and helped run Boo's Billiards. Mr. Berkley was a musician and lead vocalist who toured the country and played for many years in Las Vegas. Jimmy also enjoyed golf, bowling, and poker but whatever he was doing he was successful at it. Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Deborah Sue Prashad; wife, Nancy Berkley; two grandsons, Jai Prashad and Raj Prashad and wife Liz; extended family, Maranda Souders, Greg "Boo Boo" Corzine, Dustin Todd; two sisters; one brother. He was preceded in death by his parents, Talus and Carrie (Fisher) Berkley. Arrangements are entrusted to Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
