James Ronald Bazor, age 79 of Metropolis, passed away January 3, 2022, in Merritt Island FL. James was born February 9, 1942, in Reevesville, IL. to James and Dora Bazor. He was married to his loving wife Wanda (Logeman) Bazor for more than 60 years. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Metropolis and a retiree of Allied Chemical/Honeywell also in Metropolis. James loved to travel and enjoyed going on camping trips and vacations with many of his brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. He loved his grandchildren dearly, and enjoyed going to sporting events to watch them compete. James was a quiet, kind, and gentle man who was quick to help anyone in need. He was the best father that a man could hope to have.
James was preceded in death by his parents James and Dora, and also his sister, Jeannie Mathis and her husband Bill of Big Bay, IL. James is survived by his wife Wanda, and two children Steven Bazor and his wife Cindy of Metropolis and Jeffrey Bazor and his wife Crystal of Merritt Island, FL. James is also survived by five grandchildren, Griffin Bazor and his fiancé Tara Timpone of St. Louis, Mo; Weston Bazor and his wife Olivia of Jacksonville, FL; Hayden Bazor of Paducah, KY; Jonah Bazor of Merritt Island, FL; and Grace Bazor of Jacksonville, FL. James is also survived by his sister Janet (Sue) Brenningmeyer and her husband David of Anna IL.
A graveside service is planned for Saturday, January 15, 11:00am at Metropolis Memorial Gardens, Metropolis, IL with Pastor Jeff Bremer officiating.
Memorials may be made in James' name to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601.
