Mr. Jack Earl Cook, age 87 of Brookport, Illinois passed away at 1:32 am on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Baptist Health Paducah.Private family graveside services will be held at the Pell Cemetery in Brookport, Illinois.Jack was retired after 31 years of service from the Colonial Bakery in St. Louis, MO. He was of the Christian faith and a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II.Jack is survived by 2 sons, Jackie Cook and wife Darla and George Cook; 2 step children, Ronnie Pickett and Catherine (Gail) Taylor all of St. Louis, MO; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; 1 sister, Sandy Turnbough and husband Bob of Brookport, IL; 3 brothers, Wallace Cook and wife Nora of Louisville, KY, Ray Cook and wife Joyce of Brookport, IL, and Mickey Davis and wife Marsha of Jeffersonville, IN.Jack was preceded in death by his parents, George Cook and Bessie (Lynn) Davis; 1 sister, Loraine Cook.There will not be any visitation.Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
