Imogene L. Downing 88, of Metropolis, passed away at Parkview Nursing and Rehab of Paducah on Friday, February 20, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charles Tate officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.Imogene Louise Burkhead was born on August 22, 1927 in Metropolis, IL to Ruby and John Burkhead. She was of the Baptist faith and there were 5 generations of living family until her passing. Imogene is survived by one daughter, Linda Lee Turner Osborne and husband Pete of Paducah, KY; one son, Darell "Butch" Turner and wife Mary of Metropolis, IL; 4 granddaughters, Pamela Kay Ludwick Reasner and husband Rich of Paducah, KY, Morgan Roesner and husband Chris of Ft. Meyer, FL, Tammie Lynn Ludwick Kelly of Paducah, and Michelle Turner of Elgin, IL; 2 grandsons, Jeffry Todd Turner of Elgin, IL and Brian Hutchison of New Liberty, IL; 18 grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Marshall Warren Burkhead and John Lowell Burkhead; one daughter, Lana Sue Turner Hutchison; one son, John Louis Turner; one granddaughter, Susan Renee Hutchison Holt.
