Ida Strong, age 82 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 9:41 am on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Miller-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Pastor John Kiehl officiating. Burial will follow in Canaan Cemetery.

Ida was of the Christian faith.

Ida is survived by her sons, Kenneth D. Strong, Jr., Jack Strong and wife Sheila, Donald Strong and wife Ada, Greg Strong and wife Kartrina; grandchildren, Richard Williams, Jessica Williams, David Williams, Jackson Strong, Jordan Strong, Sydney Baker, Rowena Frazier, Cody Strong, Aaron Strong, Bryce Strong; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nora (Reeves) Hendrix; husband, Kenneth D. Strong Sr.; daughter-in-law, Janet Strong; 1 great granddaughter; 11 siblings.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 12 pm to 2 pm at Miller-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
