Ida Ann Hammack, age 82 of Unionville, Illinois passed away at 5:32 pm on Friday, March 15, 2024 at the Massac Memorial Hospital. Ida was born on November 8, 1941 in Metropolis, Illinois the daughter of James and Inez (Holt) Hammack.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the St. Stephens Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Emmerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Sterling Cemetery.

Ida was a faithful member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church. She worked for many years with race horses and in area nursing homes.

Ida is survived by several cousins, her loving church family and friends.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved grandmother, Ida Mae Holt; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the St. Stephens Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be made in Ida's name to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 6874 Midway Road, Metropolis, IL 62960.

Pallbearers will be Tod Douglas, Dylan Douglas, Preston Morris, Deacon Morris, Dax Powell, and Lane Hagley.
