Howard "Dickie" Medley, 83 of Brookport, IL, passed away Saturday, June 15th, 2024 in Pope County, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at the Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Sterling Cemetery.

Dickie was of Baptist faith and worked in Kankakee, IL until his retirement. He returned to Pope County and lived a hill away from where he grew up. He was a country man who loved to hunt anything he could, fish and spend time with his dogs. Dickie was a gardener who enjoyed planting a big garden, playing Bingo and cooking, which he was very good at.

Dickie is survived by three sisters, Mary Jo Stricker, Barbara Nell Harrawood, and Hazel Bernice Webb; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; special friends, Patty and Billy Wiseman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold William "Tootsie" and Lydia (Buchanan) Medley; one sister, Donna Rose Davis; one brother, Billy Gene Dean.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19th from 12 noon until the funeral at 3:00 p.m. at Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home.
