Ms. Helen (McGhee) Harbin, age 72, of Brookport, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Brookport Funeral Home with Rev. Louis W. Brinker officiating. Burial will follow in Pell Cemetery.Helen graduated from Murray State University and worked for the Massac County School System. She was a member of the Metropolis First Baptist Church and ran the Brookport Khoury League for many years. After retiring from the school system, she worked at H & R Block in Metropolis. Helen is survived by her children, Jeff Harbin of West Paducah, KY and Terri Clark and husband Kenneth of Prosper, TX; 2 grandchildren, Cody Lee Harbin of Murray, KY and Casey Austin Harbin of Paducah, KY; 4 siblings, Harry McGhee Jr. and wife Darlene of Dawson, IL, Harvey McGhee and wife Gloria of Brookport, IL, Margaret Pace and husband Charles of Clarksville, TN, and Stanley McGhee and wife Ann of Marietta, GA; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Margaret McGhee.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Brookport Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m.Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital PO Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38101-9908.Online Condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
