Mr. Harry W. Windhorst, age 82, of Brookport, IL, passed away at 8:49 pm on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Zion United Church of Christ with Pastor David Krueger officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Windhorst was a teamster, farmer, member of Zion United Church of Christ and a Navy Veteran.

Harry is survived by his children, William Ray Windhorst and wife Karla of Metropolis, Teresa Lynn Klaffer and husband Jack of Brookport, Everett Dale Windhorst and wife Sharon of Monte Vista, CO, and Wilma Jane Windhorst and special friend Russell Cloud of Brookport; seven grandchildren, Heather McGinnis and husband Myron, Jonathon Windhorst, Casey Windhorst and companion Rachel Boone, Justin Klaffer, Matthew Klaffer and companion Sam Jaco, Emily Windhorst, and Brandon Dukes; two granddaughters-in-law, Jennifer McCulloch, and Julie Klaffer; nine great grandchildren, Rebecca, Carter, Piper, and Hylea McGinnis, Madelyn Windhorst, Ava "Gracie" Windhorst, Andrew Klaffer, Amber Klaffer, and J.T. Klaffer; three brothers, Roy Windhorst of St. Louis, MO, Loren Windhorst and wife Grace of Vernon Hills, IL, Jerry Windhorst and wife Linda of Metropolis; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Amanda (Meinders) Windhorst; his wife, Irene Genevie (Flick) Windhorst; sister, Alberta Riepe and an infant sister; one brother, Elmer Windhorst.

Visitation will be held at the Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm.
