Mr. Harold Sparks, age 62, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Metropolis with Pastor Michael Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Harold is survived by his mother, Gladys M. Sparks; companion, Pearlie "Tockie" Turnage; son, Melvin Duncan and wife Gita Martin; daughter, Lateshia Jackson; 18 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one brother, William Lovell Sparks. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Whiteside; grandparents, Mary Sparks, Alleen Sparks and Otis Sparks; son, Eric Bray. Visitation will be held at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Metropolis Saturday, March 24th from 11am until the funeral at 1pm.
