Guy W. Wilcox, 87 of Metropolis, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens, with a flag presentation by the Navy.

Guy was retired from the United States Navy, serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Metropolis and the Metropolis Masonic Lodge #91.

Guy was married to Elizabeth Louise (Hurt) Wilcox and to this union four children were born, Jeannie, Mary, Garry, and David.

Guy is survived by his 2nd wife, Ann Maas Wilcox; daughters, Jeannie Cain (Butch) and Mary Williams; sons, Garry Wilcox and David Wilcox (Paula); grandchildren, Pam, Eric, T.J., Christopher, Katie, Jessica, Lora, and Michael; and six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Ona (Barnes) Wilcox; 1st wife, Elizabeth Louise (Hurt) Wilcox; sisters, Doris Marie, Mary Lucille, and Lorene; brother, Dale Wilcox.

Visitation will be held on Monday evening, January 10, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Masonic Rites at 6:00 p.m.
