Mr. Glenn Collins, age 72, of Metropolis, IL, passed away at 2:49 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Massac Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Waldo Baptist Church with Rev. Trad York, Rev. Jack Russell, and Rev. David Atwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Military Rites.Glenn was an Air Force Veteran serving in the Vietnam War and a member of Waldo Baptist Church. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Wiseman on August 6, 1994.Glenn is survived by his wife of 20 years, Marilyn Collins of Metropolis; 4 children, Gregory Wayne Collins of Carlton, MI; Treasa Collins Schuyler and husband Ward of Monroe, MI, Annissa Palmer and husband Bobby of Las Vegas, NE, and Aaron Moore and wife Angie of Jasper, IN; 8 grandchildren, Casey Joe Collins, Austin Baldwin, Drew Moore, Dalton Lee Moore, Colin Moore, Dalton Schuyler, Katie Parmer, and Kaylie Parmer; 2 nephews, Michael and Stephen Spicer; 1 brother-in-law, Tim Spicer.He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Glenn and Dorothy (Ogden) Collins and his sister, Sandra Spicer.Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Waldo Baptist Church and from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14.Expressions of sympathy may be given to Waldo Baptist Church 6970 Waldo Church Road Metropolis, IL 62960.Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Online condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
