Glenda Lee Pearcy, Age 78, of Benton, KY and formerly of Essex and Coal City, Illinois, passed away Monday, June 22, 2026, at her home.

Born on March 16, 1948, in Benton, IL, Glenda was the daughter of Charles Frailey and Ruby Frailey-Chalcraft. She graduated from Joliet Central High School in Joliet, IL.

Glenda married Edward Pearcy, Jr. in 1965 and together they built a loving home and raised their family. She devoted her time to her family and the family’s construction business.

Glenda is survived by her three children: Tammy (Todd) Togliatti of Gilbertsville, KY, Charles (Deborah) Pearcy of Coal City, IL and Bryan (Sheila) Pearcy of Morris, IL; six grandchildren: Michael Keefe, Ashley Keefe (Bart Brylak), Justin (Alexa) Pearcy, Kristen (Joel) Scheuerlein, Dylan Pearcy and Simone Pearcy; five great-grandchildren; and one sister: Debbie (David) Sargent of Mt. Vernon, IL.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Pearcy, Jr., and sister, Robin Davenport.

The family will receive friends for a visitation at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home, 70 Jon Street, Metropolis, IL on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial at Metropolis Memorial Gardens Cemetery immediately following visitation.
