Mr. George Owens, age 70, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016.Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bobby Parker officiating. Burial will follow.George is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Astin and husband Shawn of Metropolis; brother, Frankie Owens of Anna, IL; former wife, Anna Owens of Metropolis; two nephews, Keith and Bobby Owens.He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Gertrude (Childress) Owens; and one brother, Buddy Joe Owens.
