Gary K Burkett

Gary K. Burkett, 84 of Metropolis, IL, formerly of Spring Valley, IL, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Gary retired after working for many years at Harper-Wyman in Princeton, KY and Chattanooga, TN. He was a United States Army veteran and loved to hunt and fish.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Jeannie Kelley; granddaughter, Jessica Wallace and husband Christian; great grandson, Hudson Wallace; and brother Alan (Sherry) Burkett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Arlene (Wilkinson) Burkett; wife, Judy Burkett; sisters, Shirley (Frank) Ennis and Dorothy (David) Powell; and brother, George Burkett.
