Mr. Gary Bruce, age 60, of Metropolis, passed away at 1:08 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Massac Memorial Hospital.Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the IOOF Cemetery.Mr. Bruce was of the Pentecostal Faith.He is survived by his daughter, Julie Hale and fiancé Eric Marks of Creal Springs, IL; 2 grandchildren, Erica Marks and Joshua Lee both of Creal Springs, IL; 2 sisters, Jean Short and husband Charley and Brenda Latham and husband Truman both of Metropolis; several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Mary Belle (Scott) Bruce; 1 son, Jason Lee Bruce; 1 sister Wilma Latham; 2 brothers, William Bruce and Wayne Bruce.Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home from 11:30 until 12:30.
