Mrs. Frances Shelton, age 91, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. Pete Ryan officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.Frances was a member of the Eastern Star and attended services at Twin Oaks Assisted Living Facility where she resided for the past 10 years. She enjoyed friends and family and taking care of others.Frances is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Clarice (Evans) Meeks; husband Thomas Shelton; and sister, LaWanda Gregory and husband Kenneth.Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis is in charge of the arrangements.
