Frances Evon Blye, age 62 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 1:00 am on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Massac Memorial Hospital.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Pastor Shawn Cofield officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Olmstead, Illinois.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 11 am until 1 pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.

Frances was a CNA for 30 years working many of those years at Southgate Nursing Home.

Frances is survived by four children, Crystal Blye, Deon Blye, Herman Blye, and Darius Blye (Joellen); 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; one sister, Sandra Barnes (Derek); one brother, Sherman Calhoun; a special cousin she considered a sister, Kay Allen; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Blye and Annie Calhoun; one son, Leon Blye; three sisters, Earnestine Stewart, Delores Farr, and Loretta Adams; and three brothers, Clifford Calhoun Sr., John Calhoun and Jewel Crumble.

Memorials may be made in France's name to help with funeral expenses to Loftus-McManus Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 760, Metropolis, Illinois 62960.
