Mrs. Flora Belle (Holt) Borum, 91 of Metropolis, IL passed away at 4:30 pm on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Belle was born September 14, 1921 in Unionville, IL. She was the fifth child of Harley Holt, Sr. and Riffie Holt. She married Orb Borum, Jr. on October 19, 1936.Belle was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Metropolis. She enjoyed crocheting, playing Chicken Foot with Dominoes, and loved to travel when she was able.Belle was a great mother, mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma, aunt, sister-in-law, cousin, and sister to her family. She was truly a beautiful gift to her family.Belle is survived by her brother, Harley Holt, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK; two sons, Robert Eugene (Bob) Borum and wife Marguerite of Metropolis, IL, Jackie Wayne (Jack) Borum and wife Pat of Bartonville, IL; 2 daughters, Glynda Kay Sarno and husband Fred of Avon Park, FL, and Janet Ann Hankins and husband John of Wellston, OK; nine grandchildren, Robin Borum and wife DeeDee of Metropolis, IL, Rhonda Hausman of New Rochelle, NY, Jerry Borum and wife Leslie of Lawton, OK, Greg Borum and wife Nancy of Bartonville, IL, Nathan Hankins of Oregon, Kyle Hankins and Nikki Hankins of Wellston, OK, Jill Clausen of Peoria, IL, and Tim Evans of Peoria, IL; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews, two special cousins, and friends from all of the places she has lived.Belle was preceded in death by her parents, Harley Holt, Sr. and Riffie Holt; her husband of 46 years, Orb Borum, Jr.; one son, Donald Ray; three brothers, Dick Holt, James Holt, Theodore Holt; and one sister, Ruby Brannum.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. Glenn Coram officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Metropolis.Visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis.Pallbearers will be Robin Borum, Jerry Borum, Greg Borum, Kyle Hankins, Mike Hausman, and Tim Johnson.Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Hankins and Joe Konemann.
