Mrs. Eulene Owens, age 72, of Brookport, IL, passed away at 5:10 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Metropolis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She was born December 22, 1943 to Lyndoff and Essie (Williamson) Hannah. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Brookport chapel with Bro. Mark Staton officiating. Burial will follow in the Otterbien Cemetery in Pope Co. IL. Mrs. Owens is survived by her husband of 44 years, Truman; one son, Keith Allen Owens of Hamletsburg, IL.; Two step children, Bernice Sheridan and husband Danny of Centerville, GA, Todd Owens and wife Amy of Geneva, IN; Six grandchildren, Anthony Owens, Nicholas Owens, Johnathon Owens, Sara Owens, April Pumphrey, and Morgan Pollard; and 8 great grandchildren; Two sisters, Ethel Henley and Lela Henson both of Brookport, IL; Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael R. Owens; three sisters, Betty Lou Hannah, Margaret Parmley, and Geraldine Hannah; and one brother, Robert Joe Hannah. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in the New Liberty community, homemaker and was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge # 508 in Brookport, IL. She was a cancer survivor for 37 years. Eastern Star services will be conducted Monday Nov. 14, 2016 at 6 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Brookport Chapel. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society, 4503 W.
