Mr. Ervin H. Logeman, age 88, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Southgate Nursing and Healthcare Center in Metropolis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. John Kiehl officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites. Mr. Logeman was a farmer and worked before retirement for Missouri Portland and Massac Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and a US Army veteran. Ervin is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carole (Elting) Logeman; three children, Ada Strong and husband Donald, Kelley Bonee and husband Thomas and John Logeman; four grandchildren, Rowena Frazier and husband Brock, Cody Strong, Aaron Strong, and Carter Bonee; one great granddaughter, Brynlie Frazier; four sisters, Evelyn Mittendorf and husband James, Geraldine Kersey, Wanda Bazor and husband James, and Phyllis Throgmorton and husband Ricky; three brothers, Lowell Logeman and wife Janet, Linnus Logeman and wife Sharon, and Roy John Logeman and wife Linda; several nieces and nephews.. He was preceded in death his parents, John Henry and Hilda Amanda (Korte) Logeman; brother, Gilbert Logeman, sister, Lucille Teckenbrock, one great granddaughter, Kara Frazier; and one brother-in-law, Bob Kersey. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church on Thursday, January 12.
