Elsie Irene Goddard, age 83 of Brookport, Illinois passed away at 9:50 pm on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Massac Memorial Hospital. Per her wishes there will not be any services and she donated her body to Southern Illinois University with cremation to follow. Elsie worked in retail for many years. Elsie is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Cobb of San Antonio, TX; sons, Carl Cobb of Kansas City, MO and Gary Cobb of Portland, OR; sister, Virginia Shugars of Olive Branch, MS; brothers, Jimmy Goddard of Metropolis, IL, Lowell Goddard of Lancaster, OH, Phillip Goddard of Avondale, AZ, and Joe Dean Goddard of Lubbock, TX; several nieces and nephews. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Goddard and Edith Afton (Cagle) Taylor; brother, Marion Goddard Jr. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
