Mr. Elmer Koerner Jr. of Metropolis, IL, died on December 22, 2017 at Aperion Health Care in Cairo, IL. Memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 6, 2017, at the Metropolis Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Brother Robert Schmidt will officiate. Elmer is survived by his daughter, Tracy Atkinson of Metropolis; brothers, John (JW) Koerner of Metropolis and Norman Koerner of Bethalto, IL; four granddaughters, Maria Anderson, Sandra and Matt McDaniel, Angela and Adam Johnson, and Jessica Mansker all of Metropolis; 7 great grandchildren. Mr. Koerner was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Leona (Collie) Koerner Sr. and companion, Sandra McCandless. Arrangements are entrusted to Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
