Ellen Marie (Peeler) Myrick, 87, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Cherry Street Pentecostal Church with Rev. Russell Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Chapel Cemetery in Grand Chain, IL.

Ellen was a member of the Cherry Street Pentecostal Church and retired from the Shawnee Development Council.

Ellen is survived by her children, Freddie L. Myrick and wife Donna of Karnak, IL, Darlene Duke and husband Randy of Grand Chain, IL, Rose Batton and husband Scott of Salem, AL, and Beth Adkins and husband Tom of Metropolis; grandchildren, Justin Myrick of Grand Chain, Randy Duke Jr and wife Myndi of Pulaski, IL, Crystal Robison and husband Ethan of Dongola, IL, Josh Duke of Ullin, IL, Luke Duke of Grand Chain, Heslip Wood and wife Amy of New Burnside, IL, Daniel Adkins and fiancée Christina Rhoades of Metropolis, and Alisa Adkins and fiancée Wesley Sullivant of Paducah, KY; 20 great grandchildren; one brother, Don Peeler of Eugene, OR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Emma (Werfleman) Peeler; husband, Freddie Myrick; and half-brother, Lyndell Sheppard.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16th from 10 am until the funeral at 12 noon at the Cherry Street Pentecostal Church in Metropolis.
