Elizabeth J. Medley-MadisonBrookport, ILMs. Elizabeth J. Medley-Madison, age 60, lost her courageous battle with cancer on April 4th, 2015 at Saline Care Center, Harrisburg, IL.She was born May 11th, 1954, to Curtis L. Medley Sr. and Agnes Harris Medley-King.Elizabeth attended Brookport High School, then earned her GED, as well as her Nurses Aid License. She worked in a nursing home in Paducah, KY for several years. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her lovely personality, contagious laughter and her willingness to help others.Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Tabitha L. Snow and husband Steve and Diane E. Byassee, both of Paducah, KY; her sister Sylvia J. Emerson and husband Sam of Indianapolis, IN, grandchildren, Alex, Brieana, Madison, Paige, Devin, Karley, Kayleah, Ashton, Kyler, KenziLyn and Kaden; and great grandchild, Aubrey; Aunt Odessa Rushing and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her former husband, Dennis E. Madison of Kevil, KY.Elizabeth was of the Baptist faith and attended Waldo Baptist Church, as well as a Bible Study Group. She was preceded in death by her parents and ten brothers and sisters, including Lynda Medley-Dycus and Curtis L. Medley Jr.; her grandparents, George and Bessie Harris and George and Carrie Medley.We wish to thank all the Nurses and Doctors who cared for Elizabeth during her years at the Saline Care Center. Your services are greatly appreciated.Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening April 7, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at the Brookport Funeral Home with Funeral services to follow at 8 pm. Rev.
