Dorothy L. Jones, age 82 of Brookport, Illinois passed away at 1:19 am on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at the Metropolis Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

Services will be held at a later date.

Dorothy was of the Christian faith.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Penny Burke and Robin Greer and husband Tony; son, Jamie Jones; grandchildren, TaKara Greer and Antonio Greer; great grandchildren, Lakken Jones and Tyce Daniel; brothers, Gene Jones and wife Jeannie, Lannie Jones, Sammy Jones and wife Gail, and Willi Jones and wife Patricia; several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Martha (Nelson) Jones; son-in-law, William "Bill" Burke; granddaughter, Lisa Gail Jones; sister, Evelyn Simpson; brother, William Jones.
