Dorisie Juanita (Sharp) Riepe, age 94 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at on Thursday afternoon, March 28th, 2024 at the Metropolis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ with Charlie Kilpatrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ Cemetery.

Dorisie was born on July 25, 1929, one of 12 children of Lewis and Anna Youple Sharp in Joy, KY. She moved to Metropolis as a teenager where she met and married Kenneth Riepe.

Dorisie worked at the Good Luck Glove Company for many years and at Mill Springs Family Fun Park, but most of all, she was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Dorisie was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ, where she attended most of her adult life.

Dorisie is survived by her three children, Sharon (Vernon) Davis, Vicki (Cliff) Greer, and Sandra Riepe; five grandchildren, Brad (Michelle) Davis, Kyle (Candy) Davis, Jason Greer, Brandon Greer, and Leslie Riepe; one sister, Janet Heath; Ronnie (Shirley) Sharp; several nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.

Dorisie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Riepe; and nine brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 11 am to1 pm at Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ.

Memorials may be made in Dorisie's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601.

Pallbearers will be Jason Greer, Brandon Greer, Vernon Davis, Brad Davis, Jerry Riepe, and A.J. Sparks.
