Obituary
Mrs. Jean Short, age 72, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2014 at Massac Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Jean is survived by her husband of 45 years, Charley Short; several children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Freeman and Viola Molline (Roark) Bruce.Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.Online condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
