Donald Lee Street, 83 of Metropolis and previously from Grantsburg, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Lourdes Hospital with his loving wife by his side.

Donald was a veteran who served in the Vietnam war.

Donald is survived by his wife of over 35 years, Cheryl (Socia) Street; one brother, Charles (Glenda) Street; two sisters, Rena (Glen) Mullins, and Barbara Rowland; three step daughters, Tammy (Jack) Mizell, Vickie Artman, and Kathy (Greg) Henry; five step-grandchildren, Jake Mizell, Kristi Gillette, Joshua Artman, Zac Henry, and Eli Henry; and six step-great grandchildren, Kyrie Gillette, Phoenix Gillette, Leiden Wright, Nolan Henry, Ledger Henry, and Ollie Henry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Mary Street; infant sister, sister Pattie Troutt; son, Karl Lee Street; one granddaughter, Sydney Artman; and one son-in-law, John Artman.

No funeral service or visitation will be held due to Donald's wishes. A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Donald's life.
