Mr. Don Loe, age 69, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015, at Baptist Health Paducah in Paducah, KY.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Bro. Justin Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Church Cemetery on Waldo Church Road.Don was an Army Veteran and worked at USEC for 35 years before retiring and later worked security at Harrah's Casino. He loved baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, and golf. One of his proudest moments was appearing on Wheel of Fortune.Don is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sharon Loe of Metropolis; two brothers, Jim Loe and wife Mildred and Glenn Loe and wife Bonnie both of Paducah; one sister, Gloria Theiss of Kingsport, TN; several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Pauline (Tilly) Loe Sr.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.Expressions of sympathy may be given to Project Hope PO Box 125 Metropolis, IL 62960.Online condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
