Mrs. Dixie Dimple Brinker, age 88, of Brookport, IL, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 in her sleep.Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015 in Pell Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Bremer officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.Dimple was a member of St. John's Church and previously worked at the Good Luck Glove Factory, Massac County High School as a custodian and Unity Elementary School as a cook and custodian.Dimple is survived by four daughters, Amy Sherman of Desoto, IL, Nancy Yates and husband Danny of Metropolis, Peggy Watts of Brookport, and Patty Waynick and husband Linn of Brookport; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Grace of Paducah, KY; one brother, Mack Butterfield of Chicago, IL; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Cynthia (Leek) Butterfield; husband, Floyd Henry Brinker; two brothers, Eugene and William Butterfield; six sisters, Dorothy Parker, Gladys Dailey, Jan Schafer, Georgia Emery, Mary Eaves, and Jackie Travis.Expressions of sympathy may be given to St. John's Church 6201 Waldo Church Road Metropolis, IL 62960.Online condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
