Mr. Dennis "Jack" Johnson, age 85, of Metropolis, IL, passed away Thursday, August 03, 2017 at his daughter's home. Graveside services will be held at 11am on Monday, August 7, 2017 in Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant, WV with Dr. Joe Buchanan officiating. Friends and family are asked to meet at 10:30am at the Foglesong Funeral Home in Mason, WV, to process to the cemetery. Mr. Johnson was an avid golfer and a member of the Metropolis Country Club. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Metropolis. Jack is survived by his children, Dennis Johnson Jr., Robin Atkison and husband Dwight, Vickie Taylor all of Metropolis, and Richard Johnson and wife Kim of Vienna, IL; six grandchildren, Stephanie Taylor and companion Blake, Beth Finley and husband Hunt, Ashley Lambert and husband Chris, Mathew Atkison and wife Natalie, Kristin Rousseau and husband Greg, and Reagan Johnson; seven great grandchildren, Ashlyn Atkison, Camryn Atkison, Mathew Atkison, Ethan Atkison, Ryder Johnson, Harper Finley, and Eloise Rousseau; special friend, Mary Nelson; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Mildred (Henry) Johnson; his wife, Cecil Johnson; one grandson, Jeremy Atkison; four sisters, Donna Gavin, Betty Call, Margie Rickard, and Joan King; one brother, Jimmy Ohlinger. Visitation will be held at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm.
