Della M. Housewright 74 of Metropolis, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, October 17th, 2026 at Southgate Nursing Home.

She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and great aunt, who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her sister Delores Giltner and husband Charles of Metropolis, Illinois; three nieces Danita Christian and husband David of Metropolis, Illinois, Rebecca Hyde and husband Donald Jr. of Greenville, South Carolina, Sandra Carter and husband Dan of Texas, six nephews Devin Sexton and wife Patricia of Metropolis, Illinois, Duncan Sexton and wife Tonia of Unionville, Illinois, Joseph Sexton of Metropolis, Illinois, Chester 'Chez' Sexton and wife Carol of Paducah, Kentucky, Roger Giltner and wife Sharlet of Brookport, Illinois, Kevin Giltner of Metropolis, Illinois and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Margaret Sexton and three brothers Donald Sexton, David Sexton and wife Betty, Deon Sexton and wife Dorothy and two nephews Dean Sexton, Vance Sexton.
