Mr. Dean English, age 53 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 9:40 am on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at his residence, with a host family and angels by his side. He was born on February 22, 1961 to Donald E. and Dorothy ( Laird) English, who preceded him in death.He is survived by his loving Daughters, Yardley English and Lacy English/Velez and husband Adam and one son, James Watkins all of Metropolis, IL;Seven grandchildren, Mason Hall, Layla Parker, Izaac Velez, Sadie Velez, Jacob Velez, Alexis Velez, and Theron Tanner;One sister, Lorrie Sutton and husband William; Two brothers, Don English, Jr. and Danny English and wife Laura all of Metropolis, IL, along with several nieces and nephews.Besides his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his grandfather, Oris English. He was a U.S.Army veteran, serving in the 82nd airborne, and was a Helicopter Crew Chief. He was a member of Weaver Creek Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon.He was a Loving Father and Grandfather, now walking the streets of Gold.Memorials may be given to Weaver Creek Baptist Church, C/O P.O.
