IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David A.
Turner
July 8, 1961 – April 1, 2020
David A. Turner, 58, passed away at Baptist Health Paducah on April 1, 2020.
He was a Christian. As a Christian, he believed in the Bible. 2 Corinthians 5:8 says "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." We know he is there now.
David was born in Metropolis, Illinois in 1961 to Terrell Turner and Lois Fry. David lived in Chicago part of his life, but was well traveled, living in Baton Rouge, LA, Sikeston, MO, and Paducah, KY before returning to his home in Metropolis, IL. He worked on the towboat, was a welder for Transcraft Trailers, and was a painter. He loved to play cards, detail and fix up classic cars, and ride motorcycles. He loved to read. One of his favorite authors was Joyce Meyer. He was a good communicator and had a good sense of humor.
David is survived by his brother, sisters and their spouses: Donna Severns and husband Mike, Keith Yates, Terry Turner and wife Carol, Sonya Turner, and Randy Rushing and wife Kathy. David has many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly: Rachel Womack, Leah Reichert, Melissa Forbes, Randy Rushing Jr., Daniel Rushing, Joseph Rushing, Danny Turner, Dustin Turner and Carrie Turner.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Terrell Turner and Lois Fry, and his brother Danny Turner.
