David L. Sexton, 86 of Metropolis, Illinois, passed away on Friday December 9th, 2022 at Massac Memorial Hospital.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandpa, great grandpa who will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his two sons Joseph L. Sexton of Metropolis, Illinois, Chester 'Chez' L. Sexton and wife Carol of Paducah, Kentucky, and one daughter Rebecca L. Hyde and husband Donald Jr. of Greenville, South Carolina; and four grandchildren Sarah Jo Cope, Darien Hyde, Savanna Sexton, Iris Sexton and 4 step- grandchildren James David Middleton, Kimberly Middleton, Kevin Middleton, Rob Smith and 2 great grandchildren, 12 step-great grandchildren and 1 step- great great grandchild; two sisters, Delores Giltner and husband Charles and Della Housewright; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elbert and Margaret Sexton and wife Betty M. Sexton and two brothers Donald Sexton, Deon Sexton and one step- daughter Terry Middleton and two step- grandchildren Lisa Middleton, Eric Middleton.

He will be cremated. Friends and family may visit Tuesday between 5-8 p.m. at Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
