Mr. David M. Goins, age 63, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Thursday, December 05, 2013 at Massac Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Aikins Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Rev. Matthew Glass will officiate. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.David was retired from the City of Metropolis and an avid hunter.David is survived by his wife of 18 years, Alice LaVonne (Glass) Goins; daughter, Lori (Goins) Harrington and husband Cameron; 2 sons, Ben Goins and wife Amanda and Jeremy Goins; 1 step-son, Joshua Robbins and wife Monica; 1 step-daughter, Jessica Robbins; and 4 grandchildren with twin grandchildren on the way.He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Bertha Jo (Teitloff) Goins; infant daughter, Janie Jo Goins; and infant brother, Billy Jo Goins.Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Aikins Farmer Funeral Home.Online condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
