Mr. David Carroll Artman, age 79, of Metropolis, IL, passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Baptist Health of Paducah.Graveside services with military rites will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Round Springs Cemetery. Pastor Lauren Ley will officiate. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.David was a retired carpenter who served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.David is survived by his son, John Hardy Artman (Vickie); grandchildren, Joshua Ryan Artman and Sydney Artman all of Metropolis, IL; and brother, John Hilliard Artman of Carthage, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Carroll and Pauline (Tucker) Artman; and sister, Debora Price.There will be no visitation.Aikins Farmer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
