Darla Mitchell, age 72 of Brookport, Illinois passed away at 1:40 am on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Memorial services will be held at a later date.Darla is survived by 3 daughters, Patricia Mitchell of Brookport, IL, Cheryl Cruse and husband Vince of Columbus, MS, and Dawn Followell and husband Mike of Paducah, KY; 4 granddaughters, Chelsea Mitchell of Columbus, MS, Katie Followell of Paducah, KY, Stephanie Cruse of Columbus, MS, Emily Followell of Paducah, KY; 3 brothers, Robert Brock of Hayden, ID, Jerry Brock of Scotts Bluff, NE, and Ricky Brock of Madison, AL; several nieces and nephews.Darla was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian (Werner) Brock; husband, Earl Fredrick Mitchell; 2 brothers, Gene Brock and Larry Brock.Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis is in charge of arrangements.
