Dale Clayton, 89, of Metropolis, IL, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Massac Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis with Chris Sielbeck officiating and military rites following.

Mr. Clayton was an Army veteran serving in the Korean War. Dale was retired from EEI and of the Baptist faith.

Dale is survived by two sons, Jeff Clayton and Todd Clayton both of Metropolis; one granddaughter, Krista Kennedy and husband Austin of Metropolis; one great grandson, Oliver Kennedy; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Noma (Taylor) Clayton; his wife, Faye Clayton; two sisters, Bernadine Daub and Velma Johnson.

There will be no visitation.
