Cynthia (Dodson) Hogan, 75 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Adam Faughn and Jim Faughn officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Cynthia was a member of Central Church of Christ in Paducah, KY. She enjoyed reading her Bible and spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies. Cynthia had a servant's heart and loved helping and visiting with her friends and elders.

Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Michelle McGlenon and husband John; three grandchildren, Sarah Pryor (Dale), Cody Shumaker (Chelsea) and Cory Shumaker (Hannah); six great grandchildren, Cole, Collin, Autumn, Delilah, Daxton, and Adaline; one sister, Nancy Combs (Larry); two brothers, Jimmy Dodson and Dean Dodson (Gina); several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Dodson; mother, Frances Copeland; stepmother, Wilma Dodson; grandparents, Gertrude and Robert Dodson; great aunt, Hilda Frazier; brother, Donnie Dodson; sister-in-law, Debbie Dodson; and nephew, Chris Frazier.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31st at the funeral home.
