Clarence “Andy” Anderson, 88 of Metropolis, IL, passed away at 2:41 pm on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 29, 2026 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens with military rites.

Andy was a U.S. Army veteran, retired from LaFarge and a member of Eastland Life Church.

Andy is survived by his daughters, Karen McFall and husband Alan and Susanne Anderson; son, Brian Anderson and wife Robin; grandchildren, Ryan Anderson (Mandi), Jason Anderson (Katie), Carissa Jackson (Blake), Samantha Hanson (Nathanel), Brittany Johnson, Jamie McFall and Luke McFall; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Carol Wehrmeyer (David) and Frona Shelton; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Howard & Evelyn (Fuqua) Anderson; wife of 59 years, Sandra Lea (Demper) Anderson; brother-in-law, Donald Shelton; and nephew, James D. Shelton.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, June 29th at the funeral home.
