Mrs. Clara Jeannine Kruger, age 86, of Metropolis, IL, died on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Monday, January 8, 2018 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Timothy A. Bean officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery. Jeannine was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Metropolis where she also was a member of the Altar Guild and volunteered for many years with Meals on Wheels. Jeannine is survived by her husband of 67 years, Lloyd Kruger; daughter, Linda Derflinger and husband Neville Jr.; son, William Michael Kruger; two grandchildren, Nicholas Kruger and Amy Jamison; two great grandchildren, Levi Jamison and Owen Jamison; two sisters, Mary Kommer and Alice Patridge; one brother, Richard Conger; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Evelyn (Frizell) Conger.
